As the left-wing media watches their socialist dreams come crashing down before their eyes, you can expect that they will only amp up the lies and the rhetoric.

 

As much as we may hate to admit it, some are getting to where nothing from the old-school left-wing media surprises much anymore.  Nonetheless, the fact that TIME Magazine has descended to the point where it will publish something at this level, even online, may surprise some.

(In case you're not up on your modern slang, 'teabagging' is a slang term relating to a person who perfoms oral sex on a man in a certain manner, normally to demonstrate a state of sexual submission to that man.  Referring to a man as a 'teabagger' is akin to referring to him as a 'fag' or 'homo.')

 

As you may know, TIME Magazine isn't the first out of the gate with this sort of crude juvenile insult.  Here's a video of CNN's Anderson Cooper and David Gergen engaging in the same level of discourse a while back:

This is the level of discourse we've long since come to expect from liberal bloggers and their television network (MSNBC,) but one may be forgiven for being more than a little surprised and disappointed to see that TIME Magazine and CNN have been willing to put their name on this sort of thing.

 

As to the rest of the TIME column, the hundreds of cameras present at the hundreds of Tea Party events seem to have somhow completely missed the signs and speeches denouncing miscegenation, Latinos, Asians, homosexuals, 'uppity blacks,' racial diversity, urbanity or cosmopolitanism.

 

Does anyone remember seeing protest signs demanding that we 'SMASH URBANITY!' or that everyone band together to 'STOP COSMOPOLITANISM NOW!!'?

 

What the cameras HAVE captured at Tea Party events is a whole lot of signs and speeches warning the citizens of all creeds and colors against placing more power in the hands of the government.  Given the historical experience of Blacks, Latinos, Asians and Native Americans at the receiving end of government power, it's tough to see how 'be wary of government power' is some sort of coded racist message.

 

As noted, you can expect that they will only amp up the lies and the rhetoric as we move forward.  The best thing you can do, going forward, is be prepared for it and to not let it distract you too much from the critical task of taking back our country.

Thank you for the heads up on the article. Since we've boycotted Time for years we probably would never have seen it, other than watch guards like yourself.

Dispicable! But, what can one expect from the gutters of the universe?

We had a blast in DC 9/12. Felt like a family reunion, being with people we'd known for years.
Kind words filled the air; hugs& smiles everywhere; and most of all -- we all left "OUR" Capitol CLEAN! AMAZING DAY!!

Born & raised in Lubbock (go Cowboys, lol) now living in TN -- it was wonderful to have friends from "home" (Ft Worth) join us in DC, too! :D

I enjoy how all of the politicians and commentors on the Left have decided to do their part to help drive our turnout. I realize they are attempting to play by Alinsky's Rules for Radicals (e.g. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon, Personalize the target, freeze it, polarize it). These tactics work well against specific people in power. When used against angry, powerless people, they function in reverse.

The stupidity of the Left's reaction to the Teaparty movement cannot be overstated. In order to suppress opposition to their agenda, they needed to assuage the anger of the people protesting. By first choosing to ignore, then ridicule the Teapartiers, they stoked the very anger they needed to minimize.

I don't read Time, The New York Times, or watch MSNBC or CNN, or the other fringe channels. They are truly absurd and not worth the paper they are printed on. What was once called the mainstream media is now nothing but the fringe media. They are losing their audiences rapidly and this is a good thing.

Thanks so much for sending this out! I have long ago stopped paying attention to the Communist Broadcasting Station, the Communist News Network, et. al., as they are a huge waste of my time and energy. As Miss Giles & Mr. O'Keefe have recently proven, there is plenty of real journalism to be read.

While they expand themselves spewing venom, we can resolutely move forward, focus on action, & take back our country in 2010 & 2012! The Acorn debacle is a great milestone we should all celebrate.

As much as this will anger many (including myself) my stance is to remain calm, read and study "Rules for Radicals" itself written by hateful democrats, and counter attack quietly and consistently, just as we have been doing. The leftists, socialists, or (calling them what they are - Communists) have infested our universities and our media. We send our children off to college and they return to us socialists. They too want to be considered an intellectual so they emulate their supposedly "highly intelligent" professors who have indoctrinated them. They go to work in the media and this is what we get. Thank you for your analysis of the Lib's actions. I think Glenn has hit on something by pointing out their corruption. If we take the time to discover the corruption and point it out in such a way that the general public cannot ignore we can release their hold on the weak at heart. I was at the tea party in D.C. and did not see any signs that could be construed as racist and I walked from one end to the other.
No one I know of watches MSLSD, CNN, or the other left wing media.
They do not report the news accurately anymore, so I just get my news from FOX news.

The Times editorial is just another example of how much they fear us and the impact we ARE making. This type of "journalism" does not surprise me at all; I have been teaching a course on media bias for years and the available material is overwhelming. I am proud of the marchers and wished I could have joined in, but I have a broken foot and could not walk (still can't) but I was there in spirit. I am ready to fight this bias, the liberal machine, the Marxist who think they are main stream, and the elitist who think we are too dumb to think for ourselves and who think they know what is best for us, that we just do not understand the situation.

The way we fight them is in numbers, but we need to be smart about it, and we need to avoid anything that will give them fodder for their bias slant. As much as I admire what Joe Wilson did, he gave them a chance to make everyone opposed to Obama and his ilk seem to be unhinged. We need to be cool, calm and unruffled as we march against the tyranny. We will win this!

After reading that article might we be able to say in return (Nancy Peloisi) that the lefts rhetoric was the cause of the white child being beat up on the bus by the black students? And might be also say to the Dallas Morning News that we (the teabaggers) were their base of newspaper readers for many years and since they have so heinously insulted us it is no wonder that they are sinking fast? I also heard on Rush's show last week that Time had written an article saying that white babies were born racists - that by the time they were 6 months old they could tell the difference in black skin. A friend of mine told me he finds all of "this stuff" so depressing that he is even having trouble sleeping. I told him that I am energized and motivated to fight back. Freedom and liberty are worth fighting for as our brave men have done in numerous wars for the safety and security of our country. Just as ACORN, Obama and the libs in Congress are getting their heads handed to them on a platter by ordinary citizens like us, of course the liberal media is going to jump in with a full assault on us. I attended the march on Washington D.C. and the first thing that I found remarkable was just how NORMAL everyone was. These were people I see in the mall, at work, in church, at the grocery store. There was no yelling, no violence, no arguing.

They can call us all racists if they choose but that word is starting to fall flat. Soon the left will discover that using racism to counter every valid argument we make against turning over our country to socialism will be a losing argument.

It's so important that our enthusiasm doesn't diminish. We have to continue our protest against tyranny until we change the face of Congress and restore America to the freedom we used to enjoy.

The media has hit a new low. It is, I believe, a reflection of their own desperation. They cannot come to grips with reality. Americans just don't want what they are trying to sell. We are not racists. We are not violent. There were 1.7 million people in Washington DC on the 12th and not one incidence of violence or arrest. The Statists' attempt to imprint the tag of "racist" on the Tea Party movement for criticizing the Statist agenda reveals their own "soft racist" paternalism that has hindered minorities for the last 50 years. Their primary hold on power is the maintenance of an hegemonic grasp on the minority vote. The race card has always been the last defense and is usually a 'stop-down' on whatever is being discussed. I find now that since I am educated on the policies, I can counter with policy information and why I have a problem with those policies. Personally, i have started a practice of voicing by 1st admendment rights by returning, usually thanks to the solicitor, mail for AARP, Time, etc with my own message, to TIMe it was " I dont subscribe to Socialist Govt News Magazines" along with a Dont Tread on Me Sticker. I think that we, the members of 9/12 and the Tea Party, etc, are united in wanting liberty but have not stopped to define it. And we need to!

We seem to agree that: 1.) We don't want Socialism, and 2.) We seem to be headed towards Socilism willy-nilly with Obamacare as its spearhead.

I believe the key perspective on all this is that the group currently referred to as the "mainstream media" is fast becoming anything but that. They no longer cover what mainstream America is talking about. And by the very fact they are either NOT covering or GROSSLY DISTORTING those events and ideas that are flooding the internet, its blog sites and what is happening out in the streets and townhalls, what we refer to as the "mainstream media" is becoming the "fringe media". I was at the Washington event and for the first time in my many visits to the Nation's capital, I felt at home with urbane, partriotic, Americans of different races, nationalities and religions united in a common spririt.

I saw signs from Catholic Nuns, Cuban-Americans, Families, Disabled Americans, the elderly, children and everyone in between. The most energizing speakers were black and the crowd cheered all of them with the pride of knowing that everyone there supported the American spirit of hope, freedom, and the right of the individual to pursue their own dreams.

I am proud to have been there and know that we will all succeed, as a stronger nation that is united in the aspirations left behind by our founding fathers.

Let's hope that the left continues their attacks as it binds us stonger.

My thought is that we are separated by a common language. We lack clear definitions around our terms of discourse such as terrorism, reform, life, patriot, torture, health care, rights, privileges, socialism, capitalism, etc. We cannot reach a middle ground because we have no idea where the middle is, coming from such divergent worldviews. The polarization of America, far from being healed by the election of Obama, is more acute than it has ever been. And the lack of respect that the Left has for anyone not Left will someday result in something more dangerous than name-calling.

It doesn't suprise me all. I was reading a Drover's magazine (a magazine for those in the cattle industry) and one of the writers made a comment which nailed my sentiments exactly. He was commenting on a piece that TIME had done on American agriculture trashing the industry. The writer for Drover's came to the conclusion that if TIME could get a story so wrong about agriculture which he knew to be wrong then why should he believe TIME is publishing credible reporting on subjects outside his area of expertise. He went on to say he had been a reader of TIME for many years which is where I parted ways with him. I have known for years that TIME and many of the other "mainstream magazines" are not interested in accurate reporting but only in pushing their agenda. The point is that this writer, who is not writing from the point of view of a tea party member, has seen first hand how the media intentionally or through extreme incompetence gets it wrong time after time.

On another topic. Nancy Pelosi smeared tea partyers last week by insinuating that there is an increasing threat of violence from the political opposition to the President's policies.
